Post-Procedure Lymphatic Support

Gentle, informed care for the body after surgery — even months later

Healing doesn't always end when the incision closes. Many women notice lingering swelling, tightness, puffiness, or a sense that their body hasn't quite "settled" after surgery — sometimes weeks, months, or even years later. At Mismo, we offer thoughtful, non-invasive lymphatic support designed to help the body move fluid more comfortably, reduce congestion, and support the healing process, at the right time and in the right way.

Why swelling and inflammation can linger

Surgery, even when successful, creates a disruption in the body. Incisions, scar tissue, anesthesia, and immobility can temporarily affect how fluid moves through the tissues.

The lymphatic system, which plays a key role in fluid balance and immune support, does not have its own pump. It relies on gentle movement, breath, and external support to do its job well.

For some women, this means swelling resolves quickly. For others, inflammation and fluid retention can persist long after the initial recovery phase. This does not mean something is wrong — it means the body may need additional support.

Gentle lymphatic support — post-procedure care

How lymphatic support can help

Gentle lymphatic support encourages fluid to move through the body's natural pathways, helping to relieve feelings of heaviness, pressure, and congestion. At Mismo, we focus on:

  • Supporting fluid movement without force
  • Respecting sensitive, healing tissues
  • Working with the nervous system, not against it

This approach can be especially helpful after: C-sections, hysterectomies, abdominal or pelvic surgeries, breast surgery, orthopedic procedures, cosmetic or reconstructive surgery. Always with appropriate medical clearance.

The Mismo approach

We don't rush the body — and we don't guess. Every post-procedure client begins with a Mismo First Touch, where we assess readiness, discuss surgical history, and determine whether lymphatic support is appropriate at this stage of healing.

When indicated, we use medical-grade, low-pressure lymphatic compression designed to work gently with the lymphatic system. Sessions are intentionally sequenced to prepare the body first, then encourage fluid movement in a calm, controlled way.

Clients often describe the experience as: deeply calming; supportive rather than intense; a sense of lightness or relief afterward.

Who this support is for

This service may be a good fit if you:

  • Have had surgery and experience lingering swelling or discomfort
  • Feel tight, puffy, or congested months after a procedure
  • Want non-invasive support that respects your healing timeline
  • Are looking for a thoughtful, guided approach — not a one-size-fits-all treatment

Important safety notes

Lymphatic support is not appropriate for everyone at every stage. We require: medical clearance when applicable; open communication about your surgical history; a personalized approach based on your body and timeline.

If lymphatic compression is not appropriate, we will guide you toward other supportive options or recommend waiting until the body is ready. Your safety always comes first.

Care that meets you where you are

At Mismo, we believe in supporting your body's natural ability to heal — with intention, care, and respect for your provider's guidance. Our lymphatic sessions are designed to complement your recovery, not replace it.
